My new toy just died. I bought it Monday. After chatting with tech support for 30 minutes he told me to return it - I really hope this isn't indicative of future performance.

You are talking about your new laptop right? I saw your post and hadn't read the rest of them so immediately my mind went in the wrong direction!
Did you get a new one yet?

I'm sneaky like that. My secret evil plot has been unveiled - I won't stop until all of you have sex toys on the brain. (Or wherever else you choose to put them, that's your business!)
I'll return my old toy at lunch today...if I get the chance. Damn I've been busy this morning!

Although I'm not an expert in such matters, co-blogger Midwest runs through these things at quite a rate, I believe.
You should ask her whether this is from *uh-hem* use, or poor manufacturing, and if she has any tips.

I'll make sure to do that! I wonder if she has any illustrations that might help me out?

Oh, she won't but I have a collection of antique lithographs that might help.

If you want a quality laptop, you should buy yourself an iBook from Apple instead of a 'normal' Windows laptop. iBooks (or its bigger & badder brother, the PowerBook) are made of more durable materials, and of course Apple's OS is much, much better and more stable than Windows...
Okay, I'll shut up now. Before you know it, people might actually start thinking I'm a nerd 8).

Ya know, I think you may be right. Next time for sure.
