Christina came into town this weekend for her sister's graduation party, after shopping all day Saturday; I went to Christina's parent's house for a party. I had a blast hanging out with my girl. We entertained the crowd with our karaoke skills. Good food, good friends - good times!

One Sick Puppy

Ok, I wrote this long commentary about the below article earlier but when I went to publish the damn thing I got the "Sorry Blogger is Down for Maintenance" page. Uuughh, idiot....I lost my whole post.

I'll paraphrase..... (which could be dangerous after several margaritas and a few shots...damn those old guys for buying Bimbo and I shots at lunch)

I like science, it's great and all, we need to further our scientific advances and all that shit. I've been to the cadaver labs, I've seen dead people, I've seen autopsies being performed, I participated even. I've cut up (in the name of science mind you) some animals - the usuals of course: cats, dogs, pigs, frogs and a few others too.

However, this substitute biology teacher, Doug Bjerregaard is pushing it a little too far.

He arranged for his students to view the dissection of a dog - only the dog is still alive.  As in STILL breathing....I don't know, I just think that's a bit cruel. I all about learning how the digestive systems works, lets just use diagrams - not living animals.

Yeah sure, the dog would be euthanized anyway but the story still creeps me out. Just like pet cemetery - to this day - I CAN NOT watch that movie. I am 26 years old but I refuse to EVER watch that movie again. I saw it when it first came out years and years ago; it just scares the shit out of me.

Of course, my narrative was much better before all that alcohol -  but oh well, I don't give a shit.

There is Such a thing as a free lunch

I wanted a margarita for lunch and Trish and had some things to discuss about the office so we decided to go over to TGI Fridays. We sit in the bar and I notice it's really dark, more so than usual. A waiter comes up and says to us "I'm sorry, our main power is out, we can not serve food right now." My immediate response, "What about drinks?" Not a problem....we were good to go.

But after that first strawberry lemonade, I needed something in my tummy. Joking I said to Trish, "Man can I least get some crackers?" The bartender heard me and brought us out bread sticks, chips and salsa. I told the poor guy, "You know how us women are, we can never be satisfied". I finished another drink and asked for the check. The waitress took my debit card and said she wanted to ask the manager something. When she came back, she said it was on the house - their last computer had just went down. Not bad, not bad at all!

I'm a BITCH, So Sue Me Already!

I've been feeling quite bitchy today.  Danny can attest to that.....

Let me explain:

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.
When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.
When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts, or do things my way, they call me a bitch.

Being a bitch entails raising my children to be strong people who have a solid sense of personal and social responsibility, who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in, and who love and respect themselves for the beautiful beings that they are.

Being a bitch means that I am free to be the wonderful creature that I am, with all my intricacies, contradictions, quirks and beauty.

Being a bitch means I won't compromise what's in my heart.
It means I live my life MY way.
It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak up against it, I am defined as a bitch.
The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish.
I am proud to be a bitch!

It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I "should" be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined.

By God, I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me.
You won't succeed.  And if that makes me a bitch, so be it.  I embrace the title and am proud to bear it!

I Can't Sleep

I am so excited about my trip.  I'll be leaving in 11 days..oh wow.  I'll be in places like this !!

Jared is leaving for London on Sunday.  This is a dream come true for me.  I never thought I'd be able to do something like this....look at me now :)

Auntie Jenn

I just found out that my little brother, the one who turned 21 last Thursday is expecting a baby with the first girl friend he's ever had. If he's happy then I guess I'm happy for him, I just hate to seem him tied down like that so young.

I guess there's one thing I can be happy about here - despite all the "stuff" I did in my younger years, I'll be the last of my siblings to give mom and dad grandbabies (that's if I EVER do, because I highly doubt it).

My other brother is 24 and has 2 boys, Koby is almost 6 and Adam turns 3 this year.  I'm glad it's not me.  So very glad!

Uuuughh!

Consider this a public service announcement:

The combination of 3 margaritas, a pitcher of beer, xanex (prescription, of course) and a no food crash diet is dangerous.

Until last night, I had never been kicked out of a restaurant or bar. I'm pretty sure I embarrassed the hell out of myself (and Jared and all his co-workers) but I was too fucked up to care. Let's just say I won't be going back to the Hooters by my house anytime soon or to Jared's bar for that matter.

Hopefully, no one from work is reading this - I called in sick today. I didn't really lie, nor did I tell the truth. I did have a horrible headache, I just withheld the cause of said headache. I tried several times to get up and go to work, I physically couldn't. My brain hurt; I'm pretty sure it was all the brain cells dying that I felt.

It was bad, real bad.  I think I may need to quit drinking....so much.

On a brighter note, the Rockets just stomped the Mavericks and forced game seven. I just heard that Mattress Mac offered to pay Jeff Van Gundy's fine, Yao offered to pay half. I'm sure that really pissed off David Stern......Go Rockets!
